Workshop on strengthening capacities for attraction of financial resources for the development of social services intended for victims of THB in the framework of the National Referral System

      During the period 19-20 July 2016, at the initiative of the Permanent Secretariat of the CN CTFU in partnership with the International Centre for Migration Policy Development in Vienna was started the first workshop entitled "Strengthening capacities for attraction of financial resources for the development of social services intended for victims of THB in the framework of the National Referral System". The primary purpose of it being a methodological guidance planning of anti-trafficking activities, attracting financial resources for activities of prevention, assistance and protection, project management, and strengthening partnerships with NGOs at the local level.

      The target group of the seminar are secretaries of Territorial Commissions from districts of Edinet, Briceni, Ocnita, Dondușeni, Rascani, Glodeni, Drochia, Soroca, Balti, Floresti, Falesti, Sangerei, Șoldănesti, Ungheni and Rezina. The event was attended by representatives of local NGOs „Baştina", „Demos", „Ariadna" şi „Speranţa copiilor".

      The seminar topics tackled are the methodologies and techniques of working with a view to strengthening the capacities of Territorial Commissions, rights of victims of THB, role of  Territorial Commissions and local partners in the prevention of THB, CT intervention of Territorial Commissions in the prevention of THB and support for victims of THB, assessment of projects on prevention of THB and support for victims of THB. Another major topic discussed relates to the identification and role of key actors in the prevention of THB and support for victims of THB trough efforts of accumulation of financial resources.

      The main strategy used by national experts Laurentia Filipschi and Nicolae Cretu are discussions, presentations, practical applications and theoretical framework. Thus, working teams have generated ideas and formulated concepts for the purpose of writing projects in the field of prevention, assistance and research of THB.
